Former Manea man Doug King ran in the Edinburgh Marathon for charity.
He found it extremely hard to run three miles, as he was used to quick sprint, formerly playing hockey for Wisbech Town. Throughout his training he ran 550 miles.
Weather conditions were not good with the wind head-on for the first 12 miles and then rather warm for the second half. He was determine to finish due to the Anthony Nolan Trust he was running for and the reason for applying to run following the death of his younger brother.
