March looked strong in the first half, controlling most of the game and possession.

Piers Kitson scored the first goal for March from a routine short corner. Charlie Boughton gained a hat-trick, possibly securing top scorer of the season. Hugh Whittome scored two and Paul Mercer also added his name to the scorers’ list.

March continued to dominate in the second half. John Mair gained another clean sheet. Liam Lambert scored from a deflection off the keeper and Whittome grabbed two more goals.

Long Sutton 2nds 3 March Town 1sts 7

March started strong putting two quick goals past the keeper within 10 minutes of the game.

However, Long Sutton were quick to challenge March with their first goal. The first half ended with March leading 5-2, thanks to some good movement up the pitch from all players.

In the second half Long Sutton immediately scored after the whistle.

Final score 7-3 with goals from Hana Howsam, Maggie Powell, Louise Roberts and Felicity Allen.

Player of the match was Louise Roberts.
