There is a big weekend of stock car and banger racing at King’s Lynn’s Norfolk Arena on both Saturday (6pm) and Monday (1pm).
Saturday’s F2 entry includes the star graded Tom Smart (Wisbech) and Ollie Skeels (Wisbech). Dave Polley (Manea) will be looking to repeat his Grand National success.
The 2L Banger entry includes the Predator pairing of Ricky Twell and Joe Barratt (both Wisbech). In 1300 Stock Cars Shane Moat (Wisbech) and Richard Hampshire (Emneth) are both racing from Superstar with Shane making the grade for the first time.
Shane’s father John Moat and brother Dean race together with Lee Farrell, Les and Jonny Pearce, Ady Moden, Lee Green, Buster Ketteringham (all Wisbech), Josh Harlock and Jherek Upchuech (both March).
Monday sees the traditional Figure of 8 Meeting for 1500cc Bangers where John Paul Pyle and Steven Pyle (both Wisbech) are expected to make their first Lynn appearances for a while. The Reliant Robins entry includes Roy Gedge, Peter Graham, Dean Moats, Eddie Holland (all Wisbech) and Nicky Young (Elm).
The Lady Bangers British Championship sees Charlotte Whittaker (March) in action plus Points Champion Caroline Garner (Wisbech).
Several local drivers were in action in the 2L Stock Cars last Saturday. Jake Swann (March) bagged a fine runner up finish in the White & Yellows Race. In the All Comers Tommy Parrin (Wisbech) registered his greatest drive since moving to the Saloons with only European Champion David Aldous passing him.
