An action-packed weekend of Stock Car Racing is on the cards at the Norfolk Arena, King’s Lynn this Easter.

On Saturday (6pm) Outwell racer Jacob Downey will be chasing success in the Saloon Stock Cars’ 25-and-under Championship of Great Britain, while the Unlimited Bangers contest their East Anglian Championship. Easter Monday (1pm) sees the annual Wacky Races event, featuring SUV Bangers, Reliant Robins and a caravan race.

With Norfolk pairing Daniel Parker, the current English Champion, and Jamie Sampson, runner-up in last year’s British Championship, also eligible, Downey faces some strong competition. March-based Jake Swann will be another contender.

The hard-hitting Unlimited Bangers make their first appearance since the winter Icebreaker team event. Wisbech-based brothers Nicky and Nathan Young are sure to campaign some impressively turned-out machinery, while young gun Ryan Leeks will also be in action. Veteran Julian Watson returns to racing after a two-and-half year absence.

In the smaller 1300cc Stock Cars. Wisbech father-and-son duo John and Shane Moat will look to take the challenge to hometown racer Wesley Freestone who has been setting the early-season pace.
