Wisbech Ladies 1

With a tough game on their hands with Blueharts fighting to avoid relegation and Wisbech playing for the 1N title, tensions were high on Saturday.

Quick on the counter, Wisbech took their first chance on goal, with a composed finish from Charlie Paine.

Early into the second half Blueharts were awarded a dubious penalty corner which they converted to bring the score level at 1-1.

Wisbech kept pushing to find the winning goal and Lisa Williamson slid the ball into Joey Gomm but the effort was turned just wide. Wisbech saw a few more excellent chances go begging but with other results going in their favour Wisbech are promoted into the Prem league as champions.
