FENLAND Gymnastic Academy starlets Danni Garner and Emma Elam showcased their skills in the National Invitational Alpha Factor Compulsory 5 competition in Ipswich, competing in the highest level for their age group.

Both girls acquitted themselves admirably against the best seven-year-olds in the country, with five clean performances across the pieces to result in their best performances this year so far.

Having joined the club little over a year ago, Danni has progressed into the Elite squad and she excelled on strap bar with some great giants to score 11.35.

Emma was cool and calm performing in the big arena with artistry and powerful tumbling on floor. It was on vault where the girls performed exceptionally well with Danni scooping bronze and Emma, nicknamed “pocket-rocket”, taking silver overall with a score of 12.34.

Head coach Stewart Harrison said: “Danni and Emma were true stars in their first national competition. They were against the best in the country and performed exceptionally well.”
