City of Peterborough 4th 2, March 1

March, looking to bounce back after coming into this game on a defeat, came out in the first half and played their best hockey of the season so far and that resulted in Matthew Wallis’s fifth goal of the season.

Peterborough gradually came back into the game near the end of the first half and got a goal due to some sloppy play from March.

The second half was totally opposite for March as they couldn’t seem to match their performance from the first half.

This resulted in them conceding a second goal due to a mix up in the defence, which allowed a Peterborough player to score into an empty net.

March didn’t create any clear cut chances to grab an equaliser. MoM: Andrew Wright.

Next weekend March host Wisbech 3rds in a derby at Neale Wade CC. Push back 1pm.
