Fenland Running Club will be holding their third ‘Get Running’ course which is a free, six-week course designed for beginners and returning runners.
This starts at 6.30pm on Tuesday and continues every following Thursday and Tuesday until Thursday, July 9 (12 sessions).
The sessions will cater for all abilities and over the last two years have proved their worth to many.
Among these last year was Ian King, who joined specifically to get fit and lose weight.
He says: “What I did not expect to find was such a friendly and supportive group of people who made me feel part of the club from day one.” Cheryl Chapman joined after 12 months off from injury and now runs regularly with the club and is competing in 10K races again.
Tracy Farr had been told by friends she was ‘too old and big’ to run but now regularly runs 5 and 10K races and has even completed a half marathon!
She says: “We started slowly and built our confidence together.”
