Chatteris professional boxer Jordan Gill sets his sights on American glory after first-hand experience.
The 20-year-old from Chatteris has travelled to Las Vegas as part of the Kell Brook training camp. After two weeks of training in Las Vegas they are heading to LA as Brook challenges for the IBF world title on Saturday.
Gill said: “This is great experience for me at this stage of my career. It’s every fighter’s dream to box for a world title in America. I’m witnessing it first hand and with more hard work will hopefully be in the same position down the line.”
Gill has spent time training at the Mayweather gym and the Top Rank gym during his stay in Vegas, where he has had the opportunity to mix it with the best.
He said: “I had some brilliant sparring with two weight world champion Jorge Linares at the Top Rank gym and showed everyone that I’m not out of my depth at world level.”
Gill is currently waiting on the date for his next fight, but said it should be late September or early October. Gill thanks his sponsors Razer, Jordan Fitness, George Munns and Chatteris Town Butchers.
