City of Peterborough 5th 4 Long Sutton 2nd 5

Gary Hales converted coolly from the middle of the D on three minutes.

Peterborough went 2-1 up but Hales flicked a leveller. Again Hales stepped up to complete his hat-trick and took the teams into the break at 3-3.

Peterborough netted, but man of the match Sam Gray and Luke Jackson played the ball to Hales for his fourth, then five minutes from time Hales found Jackson who calmly slotted it under the goalkeeper.

With Alford having been relegated it was always going to be a stiff challenge for the 3rds, who were 0-3 down at half-time. Special mention to Matt Holmes for stepping out of retirement and to MoTM Ed Lanning at right back.
