Jet-skier James Bushell from Wisbech is aiming to dominate the waters overseas, when he competes in the 2013 US National Tour for the first time.
The 28 year-old already has multiple PWC (personal water craft) racing championships under his belt, including back-to-back IJSBA PRO Open and PRO GP World Championships in 2011 and 2012.
The US tour will see Bushell pitting his wits against tough competition from the best racers in the US, including former national champions, as he attempts to bring yet another trophy home.
Backed by PWC giants BRP (manufacturers of Bushell’s winning Sea-Doo RXP-X), Bushell is determined to make his mark in America.
He said: “I want to come to the United States to win the PRO Open Championship. I’ve already made my mark in other major championships around the world, so it’s time for me to take on a new challenge.”

Competition will be steep, but I’m in good form and aiming to stay on top and bring another title home to the UK.”
Bushell has already claimed the British, European and World titles. He has competed all over the globe, including competitions in Dubai, Thailand and Europe. Last year, Bushell was also featured on the BBC, when sports presenter Mike Bushell chose to showcase the sport.
He added: “I am coming to the US to show that Sea-Doo watercraft are the best PWC on the market and to shake things up as some other racers have won the tour for too many years. I want to win!”
Bushell will be based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, travelling with the Optima Racing team. His 2013 efforts will be supported by; 158 Performance, Sea-Doo Centre, Jet Tribe, and SB Components.
