IN the Sporting-medals.co.uk singles pool league, Bruce Durham’s 7-5 win inflicted a first defeat of the season on Tuesday night league leader David Marsh. This result, coupled with a 7-4 win over Nathan Forbes, shot Durham from tenth place to second in the table; Wayne Green drops to third but with two games in hand of the leaders will hope to topple them in the near future.

In the Monday night league Chris Back took advantage of Shane Balding’s match with John Dawson being postponed to move top with a 7-5 win over Scott Bishop, Balding drops to second place with Dawson remaining in third, Scott Chambers who had to start from two frames behind Gareth Barrett turned in an impressive shift winning all nine frames to record a 7-0 victory, added to a fine 7-4 win over Barry Ellis, Chambers moves up into fourth place ahead of Darren McCarthy who also turned in a performance of the week winning all ten frames to keep Stephen Hawkins in his chair.

Dave Beasley was another player in good form when beating Martin Horsley 7-1 and a lucky Ben Teun who scraped his way to a 7-2 triumph over Graham Wood. Other results.
