FOLLOWING the disappointment of yesterday’s (Friday) 1km time trial, Jody Cundy is gearing up for another performance at the velodrome today (Saturday).

He will be racing in the men’s individual C4 4km pursuit and hoping for a better result.

Walpole-born Jody was spectacularly disqualified from the time trial yesterday after his back wheel slipped coming out of the gate. Despite asking for a restart, he was denied, with officials stating it was rider error.

This morning, he will race in the qualification stage of the 4km pursuit. Jody races in Heat 7 against Romania’s Carol-Eduard Novak.

The heats are taking place from 10.26am and the finals, where hopefully Jody will be making an appearance, start at 3.23pm.
