In the Wisbech Table Tennis League, Squashed Kestrels put out their strongest team of Matt Knott, Chris Gay and Dale Parnell against Walton Highway ‘A’s Peter Munch, Andy Murray and Paul Reed.
The first two doubles games both went the distance with Kestrels winning them both 11-6 in the fifth. From then on Knott was assured of his two singles. Parnell, who is now in the county junior squad, had a five ender against Murray who just managed to win it 11-7. This was Highway’s only point of the night as Gay went on to win his two singles. Parnell won another five ender against Reed.
