Road and track specialist Jason Kierman showed how it was done on Tuesday evening with a sub 22-minute cycle ride.
His 21.50 in far from ideal conditions was over a minute and a half quicker than John Talbot in second and had two minutes in hand over Andrew Ward in third. Becky Murley was fastest lady in 27.01 but the next instalment in her battle with triathlete, Becky Hamilton, was on hold as Hamilton saved her effort for the following evening.
The Wisbech triathletes were out in force on the A11 near Attleborough on Wednesday evening for the CC Breckland 10-miler and hauled personal best rides all round. Mat McClure averaged nearly 30 mph with a sizzling 20.48 which gave him second overall. His father, Doug, and Becky Hamilton also recorded a pb.
