Knight charges into backstroke finals

Wisbech swimmer Liam Knight roared into three backstroke finals and smashed his personal best during the four-day British Gas International Swimming Meet in Leeds.

The teenager finished fourth in the Men’s Open 50m event, fifth in the 100m backstroke and sixth in the 200m backstroke final with 2:01.76.

The City of Peterborough SC member won his 200m heat in a time of 2:01.55, his best by roughly two seconds.
