Wisbech Ladies 1, Lincoln 1

From push back the game was end-to-end, with both teams creating attacking plays but also having to defend strongly.

The visitors, who were recently relegated from the Premier, took the lead early on.

At half-time Wisbech regrouped and Jane Peggs netted the equaliser after a short corner. Player of the match was Leanne Williamson. Next weekend Wisbech travel to Norwich City.

Wisbech 0, Wapping 4

Wisbech were humbled for the second consecutive week by a patient, well organised Wapping team.

David Hodson and Daniel Martell went close while Wapping’s second seemed deflected from an attacker’s foot and keeper Tom Peggs was yellow carded for a few choice words.

A lot of work is to be done on the training ground if Wisbech want to stay in this league.

Next weekend they travel to Norwich, 11.30am at Taverham College. Wisbech 3rds next weekend: Peterborough 4ths (h) 1pm start.
