Lucy is first lady home

Fenland Running Club were equally divided at the weekend with thirteen runners competing in each of two events, the 6th and final Frostbite Friendly League 5.2 mile cross country at Hinchingbrook Park and the Wymondham AC 20 miler.  Weather conditions were pretty much perfect at both venues and perfection was achieved at Wymondham by Lucy Chessor who stormed home as 1st Lady in a time of 2.15.51, almost eight minutes ahead of the next lady. Fenland Running Club had 13 runners competing in each of two events, the 6th and final Frostbite Friendly League 5.2 mile cross country at Hinchingbrook Park and the Wymondham AC 20 miler.

At Wymondham Lucy Chessor stormed home as First Lady in 2.15.51. The Vets earned Male Vet Team first prize.

At the Frostbite Matt Pyatt finished in 8th place in a field of 344 in a time of 29.13 and the club finished seventh out of 16 teams. Pyatt and Ann Trett received the award of Male and Female Runner of the Series respectively.

March AC had 18 seniors and a junior competing in the last race in the Frostbite. Pete West was first home for the club with a time of 32 minutes 52 seconds placing him 38th out of 344 runners.
