Luke Humphrey from Leverington came second in the National Bronze League final at the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS).
He took part in the event at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre.
Thousands of British showjumping riders compete to gather points through the months before the HOYS.
The top 15 in four leagues in the north of the UK and four leagues in the south then compete at a North and South semi-final where the top seven of each go forward to the national final at HOYS.
This is for amateur riders competing up to 1.15. Luke finished second in the final on his 15-year-old grade A Dutch-bred mare Soraja who he has brought on since she was grade C.
He will next compete in the National Amateur Finals at Aintree in November.
