Eight Fenland Running Club members took part in the Thorney Running Club 5-mile road race on Sunday which attracted a field of 230 finishers.

First home for Fenland was Paul Weigand in a time of 34.47. Clive Harrod continued his improving form, pushing ever closer to the sub-seven minute/mile pace. Colin Ferguson triumphed as 1st MV60 and Ian Milburn was 2nd MV65.

Martin Jennings was the sole FRC member who took part in the NiceTri Events Kimbolton half marathon. In a big field of 435 finishers, Martin finished 24th in an impressive PB time of 1.24.15.

Earlier in the week saw the presentation of prizes for the Peterborough 5K Grand Prix Series after the Mike Barnsdale Memorial 5K Race.

Maire Irlam took 1st place for FV40s, Ian Milburn was 2nd in the MV60s and Clive Harrod took 3rd place in his MV55 age group.
