Stock car World fever comes to the Adrian Flux Arena at King’s Lynn this Saturday (5pm) when the World semi-final for the F2 Stock Cars, together with the World final for the 1300cc Stock Cars, are contested.
The best local hope for gold will rest with Manea’s David Polley, who starts the first semi on the second row.
Polley has arch-rival Gordon Moodie (Fife) starting in front of him and what happens between these two will be key to this race.
“We’re trying to win,” Polley confirmed. “We normally try and win. A lot of people try to take semi-finals a bit steadier to make sure that they finish, but ideally we want to win.”
Ollie Skeels (Wisbech) will be keeping his fingers crossed that there will be a withdrawal from the semi-finals as he is currently first reserve.
The support heat for the semis will see Bradley Blyth and Anthony Winters (both Wisbech) in action. Blyth was a heat winner at Mildenhall last weekend.
The 1300 Stock Cars are also in action in their World final – Will Morphy (Surrey) is the defending champion.
Lee Green, Scott Sparrow and Simon Sparrow (all Wisbech) are all already on the grid and will be confident of good finishes, with all three showing good form coming into the weekend.
