With several members busy at Silverstone half and Thetford Duathlon this weekend, March AC took part in the final stage of the Frostbite League.

On a really tough course due to flooding Louis Fairfax, fresh back from injury, led the team home to secure a seventh place finish which meant they finished the league in 10th overall, two places above other local club Fenland.

Geraldine Larham crossed the line in 96th place in a field of 350 runners. For the juniors Hugo Bryant was well up in the field of 202, finishing 38th on the 1.5 mile course.

The junior team were ninth on the day which gave them an overall finish of ninth out of 15.

At Silverstone Karen Patterson shattered her PB and finished the Half Marathon in 1 hour 31 minutes and 33 seconds. Pat Norris exceeded her expectations with 2.06.09.

Thetford hosted the Mud & Mayhem Duathlon.

Results were, individual race: Michelle Seward 2:02:46, Pauline Boyd 2:19:21; and Tim Boyd & Michael Bennett (two-man team relay) 1:48:47.

l Fenland Running Club in the Frostbite Friendly League finished 10th on the day but 12th overall after all six races. First home of 21 members was Stuart Follen who was 49th, first lady home was Mel Trayford.
