East Men’s League 5NW

Wisbech Town 4th 0, March Town 2nd 6

A great start to the new year for March, who played well.

A lot of shots were made and eventually Charlie Boughton scored March’s first goal.

March continued to play well throughout the second half, keeping the ball throughout and scoring five more. Toby Odlin had a good game.

Next weekend March 2nds play at home against Spalding 4ths.

Goals: Charlie Boughton (2), Jody Betts (2), Jack Nisbet, Gary Howsam.

East Women’s League 3NW(S)

Cambridge City 3rd 6, March Town 0

Facing two tough games this week, the ladies travelled to top of the league Cambridge in a very tough game.

March managed a few breaks but they let in three goals each half.

Player of the match: stand-in goalkeeper Sue Heaver for making some cracking saves.

March Town 2,

Huntingdon 3

This was a close game as both teams are mid-table.

The majority of play was in midfield. March got the first goal when Louise Minnis scored. Then Huntingdon scored from two short corners.

After half time Minnis scored the equaliser. Minutes before the end, Huntingdon scored from another short corner. Unfortunately March did not manage to equalise.
