March had just 10 men and were soon under pressure conceding four goals.

March started to settle, but a fifth went in from the home side, before March managed to get on top and got one back.

The home side were kept at bay for most of the second half and with attacking runs from man of the match Matt Wallis. March then conceded an unfortunate goal and the home side increased their lead.

A harsh sending off of March’s Graham left then with nine men on the pitch and the home team scored twice more.

A strong performance from newcomer Neil Holdsworth was greatly appreciated by the team.

St Neots 2nd 1, March 3rds 2

The game started a good pace with St Neots creating the first chance on goal, however March hit back through Tony Manze striking the ball with the home side deflecting ball into the net.

The second half produced more pressure from St Neots which finally told with an equaliser. March hit back with 20 minutes to go courtesy of Nick King to make it 2-1 for the first victory of the season after a close game.

For the first half of the game the ball was up and down the pitch with both teams having chances but neither scoring.

After half time, March were on full attack, the ball was passed successfully up the pitch and Bekki Bell, in the D, flicked the ball above the keeper to score the first goal.

One goal wasn’t enough and March kept fighting, being pushed on by the overwhelming sideline support, the ball Bell scored her second goal.
