Murrow win double at March finals day

The Murrow Bowls team, who play in the March and District Bowling Association, played in the finals day at CMB BC Wisbech on Saturday.

Entered into the finals for Murrow were the ladies singles, men’s singles and doubles and the team event. Lorraine Smith won the ladies singles, Tony Read won the men’s singles, Tony Read and Roger Perring were runners-up in the men’s doubles and the Murrow team came runners-up in the knock out cup competition.

Murrow came third out of 17 teams in the league, missing out on second place by half- a-point.

The team would like to thank everyone for the support they got throughout the season and to Dawn for the great buffet at home games. Next season starts around April, 2015.
