Sutton picked up after starting this Prem B fixture at a slow pace.

Excellent work from Shore gave Fyson the opportunity to unleash a thunderbolt into the corner of the goal from a penalty corner.

In the second half a good move down the right allowed Cook to spin and crash the ball into the bottom corner on his reverse. Cook and Fyson were sent to the sin bin but Sutton held on.

LSHC 2nd 3, St Ives 2nds 3

A much changed Sutton lost a 3-0 half-time lead.

Two short corners had come from Taylor and player of the match Alex Canham after a slip pass from Taylor, Canham scoring his second after good work from Taylor and Wiles.

LSHC 3rd 3, St Ives 4ths 4

Goals from open play by Harry Synnott and Jack Smith were well taken. St Ives before the break levelled the scores at 2-2.

St Ives scored again twice and Synnott bagged his second goal in a much improved team performance.

Grantham 3, LSHC 4th 0

Three first half goals settled this, but depleted Sutton’s ten players deserve a lot of credit.

Tyler Hagan in goal made his senior debut just weeks after his 13th birthday.

Cambs Uni went 2-0 up but Sutton then stepped it up a gear.

A goal from Baker started at the back from Tania White, Jess Hudson and Leah Goodley.

In the second half Louise Southgate slotted home, Leanne Woodhead ‘took five’ after receiving a yellow, but a ball from Amber Wild to Charlee Leuty to Baker then saw Southgate reverse slot home the third.

Emma Howells made chance after chance for the Sutton girls, netting herself two goals.

Millie Lamming, Bedford and Maplethorpe (2) also scored.
