Hot and windy describes the Ramsey Road Runners Abbey 10K run on Sunday.

Two March AC fun runners took part in the 2.1K race, Luca Oldfield coming home in 79th position with his mum Lee-Ann 80th. Ten members ran the 10k race. Even in the difficult conditions personal bests were achieved.

First home for the club was Simon Oldfield in 29th place overall with a time of 40 minutes 32 seconds. Knocking over a minute off his PB was Jevan Robertson. Mick Stacey won the 1st Vet 50 prize and Debra Wait was 4th lady home and winning 1st vet 45 prize.

In a field of 276 runners good results were recorded by many of the 13 Fenland Running Club members.

Maire Irlam and Sarah Gauvin were 5th and 6th ladies to finish and Sarah was first LV40 and Maire 3rd LV45. Richard Betts finished as 2nd MV50.
