There were only the 12 maximum 180’s in the North Witchford Darts League this week!
Robbie Page was certainly a man in form, smacking three maximum 180’s in nine tons for a very much inspired Cock Inn team. He has now recorded 10 maximums this season. They beat the GER Posh Canaries 8-4 and hit 47 tons as a team. The loss means that the GER side now prop up the table.
Brian Jones included a maximum 180 and two 100 finishes in 15 tons; Ian Lambe hit 11 tons and Nigel Hinde hit 10. Bob Dunlop included a maximum 180 and 4 140’s in 10 tons for the GER side.
Dave Beacher hit two maximum 180’s (both against me in the 501 singles, how rude !), in 9 tons as the Sportsman ‘A’ beat the GER Souls 8-4. Team mate Lennie White also hit a maximum. For the GER side Andy Youles recorded 11 tons and Tony Barnes hit his 7th 180 of the season.
Parkfield show no signs of taking the foot off the pedal as they recorded 45 tons in their
7-5 win over Rose & Crown ‘A.’ Winning the first three 501 singles games proved decisive. Lee Kempley recorded 15 ton plusses and had a fine 10 dart 401 double in game of : 100away,125,140,36 out. Tim Fulcher included a 126 finish in 14 tons and Neil Clarke had a 125 finish for the Wimblington side. Sportsman ‘B’ led GER ‘B’ 6-3, but the GER side never know when they are beaten, winning the last three singles games to secure a point. For the Chatteris side, Dan Beaney recorded 11 ton plusses and Jason Smith hit 9. For the GER, Clint Mason recorded 12 tons and Mick Wyles recorded 10.
Pete Church was another double maximum man as GER Hot Shotz stretched their lead at the top of Division 2, thrashing Sportsman ‘C,’ 11-1. Pete recorded 11 ton plusses in total; Shaun Taylor hit 9 and Martin King 8 for the GER side. Aidan Hollis hit 6 tons for the Sporty.
