Doddington’s Paralympic champion Jonnie Peacock showed he is back to his best after claiming gold on the first day of the IPC Athletics European Championships in Swansea.

Peacock (21), now based in Cambridge, won the T44 100m to complete the set of European, Paralympic and World titles on Tuesday.

Amputee sprinter Peacock led from the starting gun to triumph in his final in a time of 11.26 seconds.

Peacock missed part of this season with a back problem and had won gold at the 2012 Summer Paralympics, representing Great Britain.
