Wet and windy was the order of the day for Fenland Running Club members in their weekend races.
They were both in Eye for the Eye Community Runners 10K and in Halstead, Essex, for the Halstead Road Runners Halstead and Essex Marathon.
Eight FRC runners braved the wind and rain at Eye in a finishing field of 430 and five members braved the weather as well as the figure of eight hilly course in the undulating countryside north of Halstead which attracted 533 finishers.
Andrew Plume continued his rising form producing a new personal best in the marathon with a superb time of 3.02.45.
Club chairman Andre Pittock also pulled a PB out of the bag with a sub 3.30 in 3.27.42.
