Richard Eve, with little time to recover from his sub-four hour 100 mile effort on Sunday, still had enough in the tank to win the Wisbech Wheelers evening TT on Tuesday.

Wisbech fireman Mat Buckler, in his first race this year, sliced almost two minutes from his best. On Saturday 72-year-old John Brown continued his comeback after a 36-year lay off with a new improvement to 24.35 in the Team Cambridge open ‘10’. He was joined by fellow vet Denese Hallahan (27.30).

The warm conditions mean faster times and riders are hoping for a few more tries before the weather changes.
