Runners break the 20-minute barrier

Another large contingent of 19 Fenland Running Club members were at the second Peterborough 5K Grand Prix Series race at Ferry Meadows hosted by Thorney Running Club.

With many of the 279 runners ‘complaining’ of the humid conditions Fenland runners excelled, with six members breaking 20 minutes, a further six breaking 21 minutes and with a couple of personal bests.

Sixteen members of March Athletic Club took part in the second race of the series.

First home for the club was Pete West with a PB time.

He was followed by Jevan Robertson who in only six weeks has knocked over a minute and a half of his 5k time.

First Lady home was Melissa Neil who also won first vet 35 and secured her 3rd lady overall. Debra Wait won her age category, 1st Vet 45.
