Seven races for Harper

A very small squad of 12 Chatteris swimmers competed in 45 races in the third round of the JFL against the might of Peterborough and Wisbech.

They put up a mighty fight and only finished four points behind St. Neots.

Finley Harper (11) did seven races, all above his own age group and winning 12/U 50m breaststroke, 2nd in 12/U 100 I.M., 3rd in 12/U 50m backstroke, 4th in 13/U 50m backstroke, also swimming 12/U 50m butterfly and 13/U 50m front crawl and 100m I.M. Tyler Thomas, also 11, was too fast for most races, but swam in 13/U 50m breaststroke (PB), finishing 2nd and 13/U 50m butterfly (PB), where he was unlucky to be given 3rd.
