Wisbech Men 2

Norwich City Men 2

Wisbech would have taken a point against second-placed Norwich, however having created numerous chances and only converting one of 15 short corners, they will be bitterly disappointed to not have taken all three.

Man of the match went to Ben Tarratt, with goals from Will Denny and Tom Jupp.

Wisbech are home to I-ES Men, 2:30 push back.

Royston 0 Wisbech Ladies 6

Keen to make their game in hand count and keep their promotion hopes alive, Wisbech opened the scoring through Lisa Williamson.

Georgie Dunn created some space and slotted the ball in the far corner. Williamson grabbed her second with a well-worked goal around the Royston keeper; then after half-time scorers were Claire Apted’s third in as many games, Joanne Gomm and Williamson completed her hat-trick.

This bumps Wisbech up to second in 1N, with only four points separating the top six.

Wisbech host Royston at 4pm and play Bishops Stortford in the quarter-finals of the trophy away at 1pm on Sunday.
