March AC ladies were out in force on Sunday on one of the hottest days of the year so far.
Debra Wait, Karen Patterson and Geraldine Larham all won prizes at the Deeping 10k. Debra was first lady home in the race followed by Karen in second with Geraldine in fourth. The ladies also won 1st ladies team prize with Geraldine winning 1st vet.

Completing the gruelling Lake District Marathon, Melanie Staley came home eighth lady overall with a time of 3 hours 20 minutes.
n Just two Fenland Running Club members were in action at the weekend.
Justin Showell ran in the Stockley Park 10K in Uxbridge in a time of 45.41 coming 34th/252 on a tough undulating course in very warm conditions. It was his best time there in six visits.
Also running was Marc Martin, who only started running recently, who attempted his first-ever half marathon in the Ross Peers Half Marathon in Soham. Starting just before mid-day, the full sun was as much of a challenge as the distance but he finished in 2 hours 15 minutes.
n On Saturday at Braintree in Essex, Matt Pyatt of Walpole St Andrew competed for his club Hunts AC in the Southern Athletics League.
He had a rather good day in the sunshine finishing second in both races and recorded season bests in both too, finishing the 3000m in 9 minutes 16 seconds and only an hour later ran the 1500m in 4 minutes 24 seconds.
His points total helped his team to third.
