The 2014 Peterborough Grand Prix Series of five 5K races got off to a start with race one at Ferry Meadows on Wednesday hosted by Nene Valley Harriers.

In a field of 276 finishers, Fenland Running Club had 17 runners in attendance, with several of the new members from the Back To Running programme taking part. Andrew Plume was first FRC runner home in a time of 18.02. Close behind was coach Gary Bligh, while Dan Wate and Stuart Follen also ducked under the 20-minute barrier.
