Wisbech racer Nicky ‘Spud’ Young had one of the star cars on show at the Norfolk Arena, King’s Lynn, on Saturday. He used his extremely smartly presented Daimler DS420 Hearse very well in the pre-1985 Unlimited Bangers’ Big Reunion.
Young was involved in the biggest ‘wrecking train’ in the consolation race. Racing returns on Saturday (6pm) with the only opportunity to see earth-shaking Formula One Stock Cars and the mighty Saloon Stock Cars on the same bill. Outwell’s Jacob Downey achieved his target of a top-ten finish in the Saloon Stock Car British Championship, staged at Cowdenbeath in Scotland last weekend, with eighth place.
On Bank Holiday Monday the popular Big Van Bangers and Two-Litre (non-Mondeo) Bangers expect to include Wisbech’s Jon-Joe Cunningham. Kevin McClagish races in the Junior Bangers and 1300cc Stock Cars.
