Strong headwinds did not hinder the March AC team of 21 on Sunday as personal best times were still achieved by many as well as prizes scooped at the Thorney 5-mile.

First home for the club was Mick Stacey with a time of 32 minutes 29 seconds which won him 1st Vet 50 prize. Andrew Larham was 2nd vet 55, Keith Saward 1st Vet 80 and Lavinia Seward 1st Vet 70. Debra Wait, who was the first lady home for March and fourth overall, also won 1st Vet 45.
