Ex-Wisbech Wheeler cyclist Jason Kierman, now road racing with St Ives CC, came back to his old club for the evening TT and stormed around the 10 miles in 21.28 which equals his personal best and, after a 60-mile training ride earlier in the day, was an impressive performance.
Triathlete, Mat McClure took second and Mike MacInerney was third. Junior, Tiago Fougo, also produced a new PB of 23.54 which put him firmly in the 25mph group. Lady rider Becky Hamilton produced another PB but veteran Lou Campion also performed a course PB which keeps her ahead in the continuing duel between the two.
On Wednesday in the ECCA ‘10’, John Brown rode a comeback PB and, at 73 when most athletes are slowing down, he just gets quicker.
