The weather kept several riders away at the Wisbech Wheelers Tuesday evening TT, but a sudden improvement in conditions meant that those who did make the effort were rewarded with fast times.
Quickest as usual with 21.11 was veteran Paul Ashby, strong in all conditions, followed by Stuart Emmett second with 23.08, and third junior Andy Bean in 23.30. First lady in 25.44 was Becky Taylor easing back from a series of record rides in open competition.
Emmett was out again on Saturday where he posted 1.01.55 to lead in the Wisbech contingent in the King’s Lynn open 25 mile event on a rolling course in leg-sapping crosswinds, which put many riders minutes behind their best.
Winner overall was Daniel Bloy in 57.20 leading the King’s Lynn CC team to victory in their own event.
