Wisbech Samurai Shotokan Karate School were privileged to host Sensei John Mullin 8th Dan recently during his visit to the UK from the USA.

He is the chairman of WTKO International based in New York and the highest ranking Sensei that has visited the School to teach. He has over 50 years’ karate experience and spent over 40 of them with The JKA (Japanese Karate Association).

John Sensei taught two sessions, one for junior students and then took it up a notch or two for the seniors.

Sensei Steve King said: “He left us with some priceless gems with which to polish and improve our Karate. His insight and information was fascinating.”

More than 60 students attended the sessions from Terrington, Wisbech and Downham classes, as well as visiting students from Cambridge and Norwich.

This is first of three high ranking Sensei’s visiting in 2016: Scott Langley Sensei 6th in April, who is the Technical Director of WTKO GB, and Kitagawa Sensei 6th JKS.

Sensei King said: “This will be the first time that we have had a high ranking Japanese Sensei visit our school.”
