Wisbech Table Tennis Association held its annual presentation evening in conjunction with King’s Lynn Table Tennis Association at the Walton Club.
Stalwart Leslie Sleight, association honorary life president, presented the silverware which saw the League and Challenge Cups both go to Trojans, with Eagles runners-up.
Parker Shield winners were Vital with 396 points and Squashed Wasps runners-up with 382. Sleight Doubles winners were Fossils with Walton Highway A second.
The Aistrup Trophy for services to table tennis went to Chris Gay with other nominations of Peter Munch and John Timms. The Rokewood Award for Sportsmanship went to Allan Nicholls. Others nominated were John Timms, Paul Reed, Mick Crowson, Mark Littlechild and Ray Dolan.
The Alan Vicker Trophy for the championship went to teenager Dale Parnell over other nominated players Mark Willows and Ross Brown. Dale was also awarded the trophy for Player of the Year over Allan Nicholls and Chad Bassett.
Merit Awards for those who have played well during the season went to Jerry Irving, Tim Hines, Karl Brown, David Hughes, Craig Pack, Liam Irlam and Mike Crowson.
Team of the Year was Vital and the Len Howlett Trophy for King’s Lynn v Wisbech match was won by King’s Lynn.
