Top athletes collected trophies for all round performance at the annual senior athletics championships at Wisbech Grammar School last Friday.

The prize for best boy – the Victor Ludorum – was split between Harry Dodds, winner of the hurdles, 100 metres and triple jump, and head of school Sam-Henry Pressling (both boys are pictured), who was first in the 1500 metres, the 400 metres and the long jump.

The trophy for the best girl at the championships – the Victrix Ludorum – was awarded to deputy head girl Sophie Culshaw, who won in the 100 metres, the 200 metres, the 1500 metres and the long jump, and the overall winner of the house competition was Sparks house.

Head of houses Mr Tim Chapman said: “I was delighted to see some outstanding performances by both the boys and the girls.”
