Trophy treble for Wisbech martial arts student Sophia

Twelve dedicated students from Wisbech and King’s Lynn TSD martial arts club travelled to Nottingham to compete in The World Tang Soo Do Association’s European Championship against more than 420 other competitors.

They compete in up to three main categories: weapons, forms and sparring. Every one of the 12 students performed fantastically in their category, bringing home 17 trophies between them.

Results: Sophia Stanton - 1st Forms, 1st weapons and 3rd sparring; Amy Kinsey - 3rd Forms and 3rd weapons; Tom Magor - 3rd Forms; Tom Kinsey - 3rd weapons, 1st forms; Charlotte McCarthy - 3rd weapons; Thomas Freer - 2nd weapons and 3rd forms; Alex Warren and Sam Shepherd - no trophy but great effort; Katie McCowen - 1st weapons and 3rd forms; Ruby Wadsley - 1st forms and 1st sparring; Nicki Freer - 3rd forms.
