Tydd raise £2,000 for Crohn’s

Tydd St Giles Golf Club recently organised a Crohn’s Charity open golf day and 124 golfers from around the region took part in a 4-ball team stableford competition.

Senior co-ordinator Brian Shales thanked all for attending, also special thanks for the members’ wives who organised the halfway house raising £157 for the British Heart Foundation.

He was pleased to announce that the grand sum of £2,014.80 was raised on the day.

The day concluded with the prize giving and a carvery meal.

Shales also commented over his last 10 years in the role £20,000 has been raised, benefiting various charities including Fawnaps, the Macmillan charity, Rays Of Sunshine, and now the Crohn’s disease charity.

Competition winners with 132 points: J Manders, A Williams, T Foster, M Masien from Ely GC. Runners-up, 123: J Hodson, J Sullivan J Mann, A Preston, from Feltwell GC.
