Chatteris Kingfishers’ youngsters swam in the Patterns Transport gala in Wisbech.

In Wisbech they finished fourth with 92 points.

Winners: Tyler Thomas (11), 13/U 50m front crawl, breaststroke and backstroke, Megan Dawson (10) 12/U 50m front crawl and Hallie White (9) 11/U 50m butterfly.

Second places: Riley Astley 9/U 25m breaststroke; Thomas Hanley 9/U and 10/U 25m butterfly, plus third in 10/U 25m backstroke. Other swimmers: Georgia Parnell, Liam Hill, Kaia Richards, Chloe Hewick, Maisie Harper, Daniel Allen, Kiara Kovacs, Euan Sizer, Amy Cooper, Melissa Ablett and Jacob Eshelby.

In Ely in their sprint club championships they competed for the honours in the 50 back and breaststroke, 50m frontcrawl, 50m butterfly and 100m individual medley.

Mark Thompson, Liam Oliver and Matthijs Nooteboom competed really well, the 50m butterfly and 50m backstroke finishing with joint winners and the 50m frontcrawl with triple winners, with Mark the clear winner of 50m breaststroke and Matthijs the winner of the 100m I.M.

For the girls Vicky Allen was the clear winner, with Chloe Pauley beating her in the 50m breaststroke. In total there were 18 girls and 13 boys competing.
