Tyler breaks club records

Chatteris Kingfishers swimmers Tyler Thomas, Finley Harper and Liam Hill have taken part in the Peterborough mini-meets series, designed to encourage young swimmers to improve their times, against clubs in the Eastern region.

All three swam personal best times in the 50m breaststroke, 50m front crawl and 200m I.M., with Tyler getting club records in all of his races. Overall in the series Tyler finished in a fantastic second place, Finley sixth and Liam 18th.

Matthijs Nooteboom, Mark Thompson, Kirsty Slyfield and Liam Oliver took part in the Anglian League as part of the Fenland Flyers team, the boys all swimming PBs and all four getting second and third places.

Eleven young swimmers Finley Harper, Tyler Thomas, Maisie Harper, Daniel Allen, Kiera Howlett, Chloe Hewick, Jacob Eshelby, Hallie White, Liam Hill, Georgia Parnell and Megan Dawson took part in the second round of the JFL, hosted by Chatteris, and finished on fifth place with 72 points.

Results: Maisie 1st 50m front crawl, 2nd 50m breaststroke, 3rd 50m backstroke 9 year old girls; Finley (11) 3rd place in 12/U 50m backstroke, 100 I.M., 50m f/c and 13/U 50m breaststroke; Tyler (11) 2nd 13/U 50m backstroke, 12/U breaststroke, 3rd 13/U 100 I.M.; Hallie 3rd 9 years 25m butterfly; Kiera Howlett 3rd 10/U 50m backstroke.
