Upwell make county finals

Upwell Community Primary School Netball team are through to the county finals after coming out top in the West Norfolk Area League finals last week for the first time.

They qualified for the league finals after being runners-up in the Downham Cluster League and won all three matches in Pool 1. In the next round they played South Wootton and the match then went to sudden death. South Wootton had the first shot at goal but missed, the ball then went to Upwell and Charley Pinder-Whiley scored the winning goal.

In the next game they played Hillcrest, who had always beaten them previously and had also been champions of the Downham Cluster, but Upwell won 2-1.
