Once again King’s Lynn rider Matthew Senter showed his back wheel to the Wisbech Wheelers with victory in the Tuesday evening race with Mat McClure chasing him down and his father Doug McClure another minute back.
The strong crosswind hampered all the riders but by Saturday the changeable British weather had swung to fine. Wisbech vet Stuart Emmett made good use of the conditions in the Chronos Rt 10 mile Open with a PB of 22.50 and Adrian Whiting managed a season’s best of 23.26. Another Wisbech vet, Andrew Ward, rode the EDCA 100 miler and sliced 11 minutes off his previous effort with an excellent 4.24.41.
