THE formidable Wayne Green surged to the top of the Tuesday section of the sporting-medals.co.uk Singles Pool League with a superb display when beating league leader Dave Marsh 7-4.
Andy Lucas took advantage of Marsh’s defeat by beating Dean Jimson 7-2 to sneak into second place on frame difference.
No changes at the top of the Monday League as Shane Baldin, who beat James Ripley 7-6, stays three points clear of Chris Back who beat Ben Leuty 7-5. Scott Chambers stays third after an easy 7-4 win over Paul Fowler.
Top performers this week were Scott Bishop who whitewashed Barry Osborne 7-0, Barry Ellis who demolished Andy Cooper 7-1, Gareth Neale who beat Alan Grant 7-1 and last but not least, Darren Horsepool who held his nerve to take a last frame decider against Dave Beasley to earn his first three points of a poor season for a player of his high standards.
